Southern Living recently published a feature on the biggest bathroom tile trends for 2025, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to share our perspective. Thoughtful material choices can make a big impact in a space like the bathroom, and it’s always interesting to explore how textures, finishes, and patterns evolve while still maintaining a sense of timelessness.
When selecting materials for a bathroom design, our Director of Interior Design, Whitney Tingle, prioritizes three guiding principles: timelessness, functionality, and beauty. She begins with the foundational inspiration for the space, allowing it to inform and elevate each decision. As with any well-balanced environment, texture and depth can be introduced through the thoughtful selection of tiles, colors, profiles, and trims.
“In some of our recent projects, we’ve juxtaposed two contrasting stones, separated by a brass transition that ties into the fixtures and lighting,” Whitney shares. “Another approach we love is using stone tile molding trims that echo the home’s millwork, creating a sense of continuity and refinement.”
Beyond aesthetics, the durability and practicality of tile choices remain at the forefront. Large-format stone tiles can create a clean, expansive look, while handmade zellige tiles bring a sense of warmth and character. Patterns and textures, whether subtle or bold, allow each bathroom to take on a unique personality while remaining cohesive with the home’s overall design.
A well-curated bathroom should feel both elegant and enduring, blending materials in a way that enhances the space for years to come. We look forward to seeing how these trends take shape in the coming year and are honored to be part of the conversation.
